Detailed Features List
|
|
When you perform a temperature conversion - from Fahrenheit to Celcius or
vice versa, the scale of WinThermO's thermometer graphic automatically
adjusts to the range within which the values fall, and the 'mercury' jumps
to the level of the result. |
|
|
You can physically drag the 'mercury' up or down and the corresponding
'from' and 'to' values scroll with the movement - they are displayed
according to your choice of decimal places. |
|
|
 |
WinThermO features an extensive list of 'Useful Temperatures' arranged in
categories such as 'Atmosphere', 'Earth', 'Human Body', 'Metal melting
points', 'Stove/oven levels' etc. You simply select a category, click on a
topic and WinThermO's thermometer scale adjusts and the 'mercury' rises or
falls to the result. |
|
|
This is a great feature for both reference and
educational purposes - the graphical depiction of the various
temperatures provides context, makes comparisons easy and aids retention.
This feature is 'native' to the application - it does not require the
installation of any database
components or capabilities. |

This is what CompletelyFreeSoftware had to say about WinThermO:
"It features adjustable scales, shows conversions graphically and
numerically, you can determine the number of decimal places displayed, the
mercury display can be dragged (updating the numerical display), it includes an
extensive list of useful temperatures, and more. This is a
terrific temperature conversion tool which incorporates superb graphics and
offers an excellent list of temperatures. If you click on an item in the list,
the temperature is displayed graphically and numerically in the program. Neat.
More than just another temperature conversion tool, WinThermO adds a
pretty face and a lot of really useful information. Highly
recommended!"
This is what Rose Vine, Software Editor of the Sydney Morning Herald
Online, had to say about WinThermO: "There are plenty of
temperature conversion programs available on the 'Net, but few can match
WinThermO for simplicity and elegance".
One user's comment: "Wow...what
a great program you have created in WinThermO. (We are) planning a trip to
southern Europe but weatheronline.co.uk gives temps in C. On one screen they do
have a converter pop up but you can't keep it active. Your program solves our
problem with MANY more uses. Thanks."
