 Measurement And Conversion Software's policy is to make FULLY FUNCTIONING
versions of all applications FREELY
available. All applications are guaranteed free from malware (spyware/trojans/backdoors). Some authors initially release freeware but later insert malware or convert to trialware without
notice - you won't find that happening here!
Not
only has functionality not
been 'crippled' in any way - you are also not restricted in how long you can use
any of these applications for, or indeed how many times. The only exception to
this to date is AppTrak - because of the time and effort involved in 'tuning' it
for use in Corporate environments. Nevertheless, it is being offered at a
fraction of the price of comparable products, and will yield a rapid Return On
Investment!

| TimeAfterTime is a
powerful multi-timer application allowing the use of up to 6
concurrent count-up/count-down timers, alarm clocks and stopwatches.
Key features of Version
1.1:
-One 'Master Control Panel' to launch any type and number of
timer

-A unique alarm WAV file can be assigned to each timer
module (you can simply select from a list of meaningful announcement files packaged with the application - not
just short 'sound effects' files).

| SayO'Clock is a talking Digital Clock
which speaks 'on demand' or according to a schedule, using either
pre-recorded 'Real Speech' or Text To Speech (TTS).

-Does not require you to have a TTS engine installed in your system, but if
you do, you can switch from TTS to 'Real
Speech' voice quickly and easily, at any stage.
-If you choose TTS voice, you can customize the phrase spoken.

| FileAnnounce is a directory monitoring utility
which sends email notifications to users of shared directories, when files are added to or removed from the
share, or moved or copied from one sub-directory to another.
Key features of Version 1.1:
-Specify any directory as the Parent for monitoring, and
optionally exclude any sub-directories from monitoring.
-Set refresh period from 1 minute to 1 day - if any changes in the
monitored directory tree have occurred during the refresh period,
an email is sent to nominated recipients, advising them of the

workstations.

| System Prerequisite:
Measurement And Conversion Software applications are written in the Visual Basic
programming language (commonly referred to as 'VB'). This is a
so-called 'RAD' (Rapid Application Development) language and has
traditionally been used in the Business world to create front-ends to
databases, mock-ups and prototypes. However, it is in fact a very
capable all-purpose language with considerable depth - once you get to know it -
which can be used to build all manner of applications. Before you can
install or run a program written in Visual Basic, you must first install
the 'Visual Basic Runtime'. A runtime need only be installed once, as
its files are then shared by every VB program you install. The version of the runtime you should install depends on the
version of the VB language used to write the program you wish to run.
For example, to run a program written in VB 6.0, you must install the
Visual Basic Runtime 6.0.
Note: The only runtime needed by Measurement And Conversion Software applications
is the Visual Basic Runtime 6.0. You should install this first (before
installing any applications). All you need to do is download the
runtime installation program to a temporary
directory. Then execute the installation program by double-clicking
its icon, or typing its name at the command line of a DOS box. Of
course, if you already have Visual Basic 6.0 runtime installed on your
PC, you can skip this step and just download and install the application(s) of
interest. |
